Vissariel decided to go to town after her talk with Alain. After talking to Lee about community, she learns that the gladiators from the Roar Island were having a hard time adjusting to their new home. One of them had even punched Aldair, when he tried teaching them dueling arts. Vessariel finds out who leads this troupe of outcasts, initially trying diplomacy, and then violence. She chops them down and they are taken to a nursing tent. Shew continues her instruction on community with Lee, and begins inspiring him (despite the bloodshed of earlier).
In the usual Garthor fashion, he is doing the opposite of Vessariel - he met up with Greg the Bug Bear, and began teaching him how to fish - which he catches onto quickly!
Rombee finds out that their garden didnt do so well while they were away. She is frantically trying to get it back to its perfect state.
While this is all happening Wisteria is researching back in the manor's in the library - she has a moment of weakness and succumbs to the feelings from the heart crystals, destroying the library. Zigfried finds her and starts to sing a calming song, which does help her snap out of her freak out. He gives her a wooden carved figure of Oriana, while planting a seed of doubt about her goddess and worship.
Rombee, still in the garden, eventually gives up and tries to find more plants around the wilderness. She explores through the woods, to the peak of the mountain; where the air is stagnant and....they notice that the storm is maybe getting closer?
Returning to town from the beach, Garthor and Greg show off their fishing haul. Vissariel then shows Greg how to prepare the fish, which he also catches onto quickly. She then encourages him to start talking to the Villagers by serving someone some cooked shark. Vissariel also tries to make peace with the gladiator she wounded by bringing him some shark soup. He is still leery of her, but his posse has begun to listen to her words on community, and after some talk with the "second in command" of the outcasts, mutual ground is made: they will learn Aldair's dueling, and Aldair will learn how to "fight-fight".
Lee, inspired by Vessariel's continued words on community, begins to give a sermon while everyone eats. It starts out strong, and stays inspiring, but he does push it a bit towards the end (we got the point initially, Lee). Regardless, the sky opened and the sun appeared for the first time in what seems like a century. Everyone could feel the touch of divine.everyone felt a sense of community and joy.
Except Wisteria; who felt the heart crystal’s presence surge and overtake her. Loviatar doesn't like this joy, and wants her to embrace the pain and anger of the artifact crystals. Wisteria becomes overwhelmed and runs off.
As the town enjoys their supper, Vessariel returns to the manor. In a sense of awe from the divine, she begins telling Glennferry about the town and the sun - she grips his shoulders and she gets closer, her eyes widening as she recalls the feeling, until, they are face to face...and she pushes herself to him. He is surprised, but into it, and they begin a rukus romp (with biting and shoving).
Wisteria arrives to the well. She looks at the statue that rain had clawed, holding the wooden figure. Letting the anger swell in her, she snaps in a fit of rage and sacred flames the statue. Rain appears, also consumed in this rage, and begins hissing at her. Wisteria then burns the snapped figure and sulks back to Zigg...with emotions low, now feeling back about scorching it. This doesn't last long - she shuts herself in her room and enters a trance. Now she has begun being enveloped by the heart crystal’s influence, as well as her goddess.
Concerned, most of the party agreed it was time to removbe the artifacts for the sake of peace (minus the romping Vessariel and Glennferry). Garthor is the one to snatch the heart crystals, making Wisteria lash out on a fit of rage. Alain then tries to intervene and ends up getting a face full of holy fire. By now, the heart crystals have begun spinning their threads on Garthor, who is mad that such a thing would even try ton influence him (he has seen many tricks and is no stranger to gods, or their artifacts, causing havok). He begins choking Wisteria, even through her using necrosis-magic on his arm. She feints, a light chuckle coming from her mouth.
Garthor immediately takes the heart crystals into the woods and away from the house, to be buried. The whole ordeal has the peace of the manor once again shaken.
